Lori Spagnolo - DE
|Each of us has a story. Mine, like many
of yours, has changed and evolved over the years. I began my career in
Washington, D.C. working on Capitol Hill with a B.S. in Environmental
Studies. Eventually, I went back to graduate school for my masterís
degree, got married, had 2 lovely daughters and have been fortunate
enough to work with some well-known environmental organizations as well
as with the U.S. EPA.
Quite by accident, I found this company which has far exceeded all my expectations in terms of flexibility, income, and commitment to my environmental principles. It is a business that can grow as fast as you need it to, yet will not disappear if it must take a back seat to one of the many unforeseen circumstances or events that make up our lives. It would have been very easy for me, after hearing about this business, to dismiss it. For someone used to working for others, it was non-traditional, "out-of-the-box", and unquestionably out of my comfort zone. I do believe, however, that none of us can grow without pushing ourselves, both mentally and physically, into new experiences, so I gave it a shot, knowing that I had nothing to lose.
Fast forward, and about 10 years ago, I found myself divorced. I still have ties to the 9-5 world, but I found the compensation inadequate and the hours exceedingly difficult for a single Mom.
As an environmental professional, I know that the biggest threat to the quality of our air and water no longer comes from industry, but from the individual choices we make and the caustic chemical products that many people use in their homes and wash down their drains each day. As a Mom, I also know that these very same products pose the biggest threat to the safety of our children and pets. Today, I have a clear conscience on both counts. I live healthy, make a difference, and have found a way to ensure my familyís financial stability.
I do hope you join us.
